From Dune Awakening to a massive update for GTFO, here’s everything announced today in the Into The Infinite Showcase at Gamescom 2024

Gamescom 2024 was a whirlwind of excitement, and today’s Into the Infinite showcase was no exception.

It was packed with announcements ranging from exciting updates to Dune Awakening to completely new games being shown off. This event had something for everyone and it can be a little overwhelming to keep track of. Here’s a quick and easy recap of everything that was announced at the showcase.

Age of Empires Mobile

Age of Empires Mobile brings epic medieval warfare strategies to your fingertips on October 17. Developed by TiMi Studio Group and World’s Edge, the game, coming to the Apple App Store and Google Play, features large-scale siege battles that pit hundreds of players on a single screen.

Upwards

Funcom gave us a glimpse of the vast, floating islands of Upwardsan innovative cooperative sandbox survival game coming to Early Access this fall.

The latest trailer showcased the Ecosystem Restoration feature, which allows players to restore islands with low health by planting trees, adding animals, and fighting corruption.

Arena Breakout: Infinite

MoreFun Studios is bringing a tactical extraction shooter experience to PC. The game is currently in Early Access, with three maps: Farm, Valley, and Armory, and a slew of new quality-of-life updates, including 48 weapons, for players to get their hands on.

Command & Conquer: Legions

Level Infinite has released a brand new CG trailer for the new Command and conquer game, with a threat you may recognize. Players will have to brace themselves for a Red Alert season when Legions drops, so prepare for intense battles!

DeathSprint 66

As the release of DeathSprint 66 With September 12, 2024 fast approaching, Secret Mode and Sumo Digital have released a Behind the Speed ​​video featuring some cool, never-before-seen footage of the futuristic racer, plus some great insights into its history, track design, and gameplay mechanics.

Dune Awakening

Dune Awakening evolves into an epic survival experience on Arrakis. Creative Director Joel Bylos described the game’s core mechanics: Survive, Expand, and Control.

Starting from nothing, players must learn the ways of the desert to achieve anything in the unforgiving sands of Arrakis. You can build and expand your base, alone or with friends.

Making allies will help in the long run anyway—Controlling Spice is what it’s all about, and being able to control other factions and players and get them on your side to strengthen your position is invaluable.

Exoborne

Sharkmob’s Creative Director, Petter Mannerfelt, took the stage at Into the Infinite to talk about the team’s vision for the game and introduced some cool new mechanics coming to the title. Expect some great dynamic movement and verticality thanks to the capabilities of the Exo-Rigs.

Goddess of Victory NIKKE

Level Infinite just made one of the most exciting announcements for NIKKIE in a very long time.

The game will have an official partnership with Gospelbringing the characters Asuke, Rei, Mari and Misato to the game, along with a new boss from the anime.

GTFO

The final chapter for 10 Chambers’ FPS horror shooter is finally here! Steam. With over 80 expeditions, 90 rewards, and 50 weapons and tools, this complete edition is a must-play for horror shooter enthusiasts.

As if that wasn’t enough, the trailer gave a sneak peek at the studio’s upcoming co-op heist shooter, Den of wolves.

Nightingale

Rebuilt empires is the biggest update yet for the gaslamp fantasy open-world survival game. Launching on September 12, the free update includes a new hand-crafted campaign, immersive dungeons, boss battles, and many community-requested features.

Package Corps

From indie developer Billy Goat Entertainment and publisher Secret Mode, Package Corps brings the fast-paced world of bike messengers to life in its latest reveal. Set on the bustling streets of New Island, players join one of three rival companies as they battle to become the best in the business.

Soul Frame

With its new title, Digital Extremes offers a glimpse into the world of Alca, where players will embark on a journey to heal a broken world. This free-to-play fantasy adventure takes players on a quest to save the land from the clutches of Ode’n.

Tarisland

Level Infinite has revealed exciting details about the cross-platform MMORPG’s first season, which launches this October. Players will explore the Scardino Icefield, take on new raids, and encounter the enigmatic Frost Dragon faction.

Warframe

Digital Extreme is taking fans on a nostalgic trip back to 1999 with a teaser for the game’s upcoming free update. Players will return to Earth in 1999 to uncover secrets in a grungy, alternate world. The update, scheduled for a winter release, will include the Lotus Eaters prologue quest and lots of extras including the long awaited Sevagoth Prime Access.

Warhammer Vermintide 2

The first Open Beta for Warhammer Vermintide 2 – Versus is now live on Steam, offering an asymmetrical PvP and PvE experience set in the War hammer universe.

Players can engage in thrilling 4v4 battles, taking turns fighting the iconic Ubersreik Five Heroes and the cunning Skaven.
