Mafia: The Old Country Revealed at Gamescom 2024

Recently at Gamescom 2024, a new installment in the Mafia video game series was announced. Developed by 2K and Hangar 13, Mafia: The Old Country is the latest title in the Mafia franchise that will plunge players into the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily. There, players will learn to survive in this ruthless era and engage in brutal combat characterized by authentic realism and a story that mimics a classic mafia movie story.

Nick Baynes, the president of Hangar 13, gave a brief statement about what players can expect from the latest Mafia game.

“In the first three installments of the Mafia franchise, we introduced players to the world of the mafia through gritty stories set across different eras,” said Baynes. “In Mafia: The Old Country, we’re going back to the roots of what fans love about the franchise by creating a deep, linear story with that classic mafia movie feel, visiting a stunning new setting, and delivering it all in a tight, focused package that’s perfect for fans of immersive experiences.”

To provide players with an immersive experience, they can play Mafia: The Old Country with Sicilian-made voices, which perfectly suits the game’s setting.
