5 Gun-Riding Gangs Arrested in South Africa

Five members of an armed gang from Kwamashu have been arrested. More suspects are being sought.

These individuals were captured in a viral video firing indiscriminate shots at the hostel in KwaMashu.

They appeared in Ntuzuma court on Thursday 22/08, following their earlier arrest. Upon their arrest, three firearms and a hijacked vehicle were found in their possession.

Although one of the suspects tried to shoot at the police, the officers managed to overpower and arrest him.

The gang members are believed to be involved in a range of criminal activities including murders, carjackings and robberies in various areas such as Dumisani Makhaye Highway, Kwamashu, Inanda, Ntuzuma and neighbouring communities.
