Venezuela rejects statements from 11 countries

In a message on his Telegram profile, the minister described the text as “rude and brutal” and considered “the construction of a new Lima group and a new Guaidó” unacceptable.

The statement, signed by the governments of Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, the United States, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay, ignores the TSJ verdict.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister believed that the countries issuing the document are trying to recreate the Lima Group created in 2017, which he described as evil, failed and defeated.

According to him, the position of this government makes them complicit in criminal violence, as they give free rein to attacks on health centers, schools, universities, means of transport and national symbols.

The violent actions that followed the presidential elections in Venezuela left a significant number of dead and wounded, “due to the use of transnational criminal gangs hired for this purpose,” he noted.
