Bend Man Arrested for Alleged Online Child Sexual Exploitation – Medford Alert

Bend, Oregon- The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Talon Daniel Arnold, a 32-year-old Bend resident, in connection with a case involving online sexual exploitation of a minor. Arnold is charged with luring a minor, attempted use of a child in sexually explicit conduct and online sexual corruption of a child in the second degree.

The arrest follows an extensive investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division that took place between July 17 and August 4, 2024. Authorities allege Arnold communicated online with a child under the age of 16 for the purpose of sexual gratification.

Arnold was taken into custody on August 4, 2024, on an unrelated charge and has been in the Deschutes County Adult Jail since his arrest. While in custody, investigators interviewed Arnold and his cell phone was analyzed by the Digital Forensics Unit. The analysis reportedly confirmed that Arnold had used the phone to send sexually explicit images and messages to the minor.

As a result of the investigation, Arnold has been formally charged with the three offenses listed above. The case underscores the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to protecting minors from online exploitation and prosecuting individuals who engage in such activities.

Because the investigation is ongoing and involves a minor, authorities do not wish to release any further details at this time.
