Russia gets the proof they needed

Another stupid war

The good old US may have some terrible handicaps, like its leftist female media types (those man-hating, axe-faced, Nazi-esque maniacs give me the creeps), but with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Pacific on the other, plus two fairly weak neighbors to the north and south, people can sleep soundly without worrying about marauding Mongol hordes or the like. (Native criminal gangs are a different matter altogether.)

Which brings me to the war on the other side of the world, in faraway Russia, neighboring Ukraine, and a European defense mechanism called NATO that was invented some 75 years ago to prevent Soviet tanks from overrunning Europe. NATO’s slogan was something like Dumas’s Three Musketeers: All for One and One for All. It worked for a long time, until the Soviets imploded and the good old US decided to rule the world.

Fake tough-guy commentators in Britain (an island whose surrounding seas ensured that the British spoke English instead of German eighty years ago) and in America cheer on the war parties daily, some of these armchair heroes sounding like George Patton. War is hell, but you would never know it from the safety of the TV studios in Los Angeles and old New York. Today these fakers cheer the Ukrainian army’s invasion of Russia, and boast of British missiles and American tanks leading the way against the monster that is Putin. Listen to Taki: it is nonsense and evidence for people like me who have insisted all along that this war was planned and executed by the Anglo-American cabal who saw half a million Iraqis die because of the big lie of Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction. More can changeas they say in the land of cheese.

Let me explain: The Kursk Offensive brings back unwelcome ghosts of the past, especially for the Germans. In July 1943, Kursk was the site of the largest tank battle in history, and it ended only when Hitler was forced to withdraw two Panzer divisions from the area to defend against the American invasion of Sicily. Von Manstein’s Panzers were actually inferior to Zhukov’s T-34s, but the Luftwaffe had held the line for the two weeks of non-stop fighting, with the German side slightly favored. The current battles are merely shadow boxing compared to the real thing. The undisputed winner of this is Vladimir Putin, something that the armchair warfare buffs and profiteers in Washington and London have yet to understand. These greedy types have yet to understand that by driving Ukrainian tanks through Russian villages, they are giving Putin the greatest propaganda victory since the death of Hitler. Putin has for years maintained that NATO’s eastern expansion was a hostile alliance plan to intimidate and threaten Russia. Putin’s warning to the Russian people that the West wanted to subjugate Russia has given him unexpected proof. (Or the proof he needed. If they’re all working for the same people behind the scenes, Putin has the proof he needed for his side of the war.)

The great George Kennan, an American diplomat, sent the most famous telegram in the 1940s — it was 5,000 words — advising the Truman administration to contain communism rather than confront it. Secretary of State George Baker, an honest broker and gentleman, promised Gorbachev after the fall of communism in 1990 that NATO “will not move an inch to the east.” Take it from there, dear Takimag readers.

The only man who has understood the folly of Ukrainian troops invading Russia is a Brit, Peter Hitchens. He wrote that the Russian word for safety is “bezopasnost”, which translates as “without danger”. In other words, in Russia, danger is the normal default position. Western politicians and fake tough journalists have no idea about Russia and are simply parroting each other. They forget, or choose not to think about, that Russia is a huge country with the greatest resources in the world, much of which is untapped, and that there are greedy types in the West who would like to get their hands on them. The Russians know this and do not trust the West. Russia has been invaded twice since modern Tsarist times, both times via Ukraine by Napoleon and Adolf. This is the third time and it proves that Putin is right in telling his people that we in the West are out to get them.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Us nice guys also invaded Crimea with our Light Brigade and all that in 1853. Lucan, Cardigan, Captain Nolan, they even made a big movie about it. Maybe Boris Johnson and a few other war buffs who are egging Zelensky on to keep begging for guns and sending men to their deaths think that Hollywood will make another big movie starring Brad Pitt as Boris and Tom Cruise as Zelensky. Stranger things have happened. What I know won’t happen is that the dying, the wounded, the homeless, the deformed, the blind and the poor won’t get a movie about them and their plight. Instead, after the war is finally over, the big guns will have made another fortune, Zelensky will buy a chalet in Gstaad or a house in Palm Beach, a square somewhere in Kiev will be named after Boris, and the Russian people will have further proof that the West is not only out to turn Russia into a puppet state, but also to turn its people into Western idiots who play video games non-stop.
