Raayan ending spoilers

At the climax of Raayan, the tension reaches a climax as Raayan takes on his brother Muthu and gangster Sethu in a gripping fight. Driven by betrayal and revenge, Raayan kills Sethu and is ultimately forced to confront and kill his own brother Muthu, who had turned against him. The film ends with Raayan and his sister Durga deciding to leave their violent past behind. They move to a new city, hoping to build a peaceful life.

Who killed Durai?

Raayan began with a black and white scene of two young brothers eagerly awaiting the birth of their baby brother or sister, while their eldest brother, Raayan, hoped for a baby sister. Their hopes were fulfilled when a baby girl was born, whom Raayan affectionately named Durga. Shortly after, their parents left for the city, but mysteriously returned after several days. Worried and vulnerable, Raayan sought help from the village priest, taking his younger brothers and baby sister with him. However, the priest, who had sinister intentions, sold Durga to human traffickers, prompting Raayan to take drastic measures and kill him.

Raayan and his siblings fled their village and hid in a truck headed for Chennai. Upon arrival, they met Shekhar, the truck driver, who kindly offered Raayan a job and a place to live. Years passed and Raayan now ran a fast food joint, while his brother Manickam was in college. Their other brother, Muthu, spent his days wandering, drinking and brawling, and Durga took care of the household. The plot thickened with the introduction of two powerful gangsters, Durai and Sethu, who had maintained a shaky peace in their area for years.

A new commissioner arrived in Chennai with a mission to dismantle the mafia. He fanned the flames of Durai and Sethu’s rivalry by staging an attack on Sethu, making it seem as if Durai was responsible. Enraged, Sethu retaliated by ordering the murder of Durai’s son. Unbeknownst to them, Muthu was present when Sethu’s men carried out the attack, leading to the death of Durai’s son. Durai, mistakenly thinking that Muthu was the murderer, confronted Raayan and demanded that he take Muthu’s life before morning. In a stunning turn of events, Raayan and his brothers came together to eliminate Durai and his entire gang in a single night.

Did Raayan kill Muthu & Manickam?

The tension reached a climax when Sethu, a powerful gangster, discovered that Raayan was responsible for Durai’s murder. Sethu saw Raayan’s potential but also saw him as a threat. He offered Raayan a position in his gang, which Raayan flatly refused. Enraged by the rejection, Sethu hatched a plan to eliminate Raayan. While Sethu was plotting Raayan’s downfall, Raayan was simultaneously plotting to eliminate Sethu.

The night before Durga’s wedding, Raayan infiltrated Sethu’s house with the intention of killing him. However, he discovered that Durga had been kidnapped and was being held there. When they tried to escape, they were ambushed by Sethu’s henchmen and in a shocking twist, Raayan’s own brothers, Muthu and Manickam, were found to be involved in the betrayal. In a tragic and intense moment, Muthu and Manickam stabbed Raayan, leaving him critically injured. Durga managed to escape and with the help of Shekhar, took Raayan to a hospital.

As Raayan recovered, Durga and Shekhar discovered the full extent of the betrayal by Muthu and Manickam. In a tragic turn of events, Sethu murdered Shekhar, and Durga mistakenly believed that Manickam was behind the murder.

In the climactic ending of Raayan, the Commissioner orchestrated a truce between Raayan and Sethu, hoping to bring peace to the city. However, this truce was a facade, leading to a grand celebration where Durga, driven by revenge, killed Manickam to avenge Shekhar’s death and betrayal. Meanwhile, Raayan confronted Sethu and Muthu in a fierce fight. He killed Sethu quickly, but hesitated when it came to Muthu. Despite his hesitation, Muthu’s relentless attacks forced Raayan to defend himself, ultimately resulting in Muthu’s death.

In the final scenes, Raayan embarks on a new journey with Durga and Muthu’s newborn child.
