Counterfeit euros: Italy cracks down on Naples money printing industry


On the outskirts of Naples, at the foot of Vesuvius in southern Italy, lies one of the largest productions of counterfeit euros. According to the Italian authorities, who recently closed down an illegal printing plant and arrested several counterfeiters, the lucrative trade in counterfeit banknotes is run by criminal organizations with ties to the Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia.
