The United States Department of State offers a reward up to $2.50 million for information that could lead to the arrest and/or conviction in any country of Volodymyr Kadariya for his alleged participation in a major malware organization.

Kadariya is accused of cybercrime in connection with an alleged scheme to deliver the Angler Exploit Kit (AEK), other malware, and online scams to the computers of millions of unsuspecting Internet users through online advertisements – so-called “malvertising” – and other means from October 2013 through March 2022. During the scheme, the AEK was at times a key tool for cybercriminals to deliver malware to compromised electronic devices

On June 14, 2023, Kadariya was indicted in the District of New Jersey for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to commit computer fraud, and two counts of substantial wire fraud.
