More than 1,200 pounds of marijuana seized in Okmulgee County raid

Agents from the District Attorney’s Office and law enforcement seized a large quantity of marijuana and plants from an illegal grow operation in Okmulgee County on August 20.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, agents seized 1,300 pounds of illegal, usable marijuana, more than 3,000 marijuana plants, three firearms and $25,000 in cash.

Agencies working with the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force included the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office, the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma National Guard Civil Support Team, and the Department of Homeland Security. – Office of the Attorney General

Attorney General Gentner Drummond said: “We continue to send the message to drug cartels and criminal syndicates that they need to get out of our state,” he said. “We will continue to crack down on illegal grow facilities until they are all shut down.”
