WALKIN’ PETS PARTNERS WITH DOG RESCUE MAN TO LAUNCH NEW BOOK ‘HOME. MADE.’

Inspirational memoir about the TMTRD shrine and the wheelchair mafia

DENVER, August 26, 2024 /CNW/ — Walkin’ Pets, a long-time provider of pet wheelchairs and dedicated supporter of The Man That Rescues Dogs (TMTRD) Sanctuary, is pleased to announce the launch of Home. Made. – a new memoir written by the sanctuary’s founder Michael J. Baines.

Launch on International Dog Day (Monday, August 26, 2024) the book is a deeply moving account of Baines’ own life, interwoven with stories about the dogs he has rescued. It highlights the power dogs have to persevere and how they can inspire us to do the same.

The TMTRD Sanctuary, a shelter and rehabilitation center for stray and paralyzed dogs in the United States, opened in 2017. Thailandnow has 1,000 dogs under its care, including 50 TikTok-famous paralyzed dogs affectionately known as The Wheelchair Mafia. Walkin’ Pets is proud to be the force behind The Wheelchair Mafia, and has donated the wheelchairs needed to keep this incredible group of dogs moving.

‘Home. Made.’ is the debut publication from Witchcraft, a social impact production company that uses the art of storytelling and the power of books to raise awareness and revenue for nonprofits through book royalties. With a whopping 70% of royalties donated to TMTRD, Walkin’ Pets is working with the organization to ensure the launch is as successful as possible. Building off of the viral success of Wheelchair Mafia, the two organizations will work together to promote the launch on social media to drive awareness and promote the fact that all purchases go directly to this incredible rescue effort.
