KOCHI: An actor on Monday revealed that a 16 year old girl and her mother were sexually abused for two weeks in the recording location of a Malayalam movie.
According to her, the incident took place at the location of One Way Ticket, a 2008 Malayalam film directed by Bipin Prabhakar, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Bhama in the lead roles and Mammootty in a cameo role.
“The girl and her mother were asked to stay in a room near the shooting location. They stayed there for about two weeks, but they were not taken to the location. During that period, both of them were sexually abused by the film’s crew members. Many people associated with the film, including the cameramen and other technicians, sexually abused them,” she said, adding that she had heard about the incident directly from the survivors.
“They explained to me that they were sexually exploited by a group of people for two weeks. They had no direct contact with the senior technicians of the film, including the director,” she said in an interview with a TV channel.
