Urgent search launched for missing 16-year-old amid concerns over sexual exploitation

Authorities are urgently asking for the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Imani Washington, who has been missing since August 9. There are growing concerns from those familiar with the situation that she may have been a victim of sexual exploitation. The Town of Tonawanda Police Department is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information to come forward.

Imani Washington was last seen leaving her residence over two weeks ago and her current clothing description is unknown. She is believed to be in the Buffalo/West Side area, but this has not been confirmed. Disturbingly, recent changes in her appearance include a facial tattoo above her right eye and bright orange hair.

Law enforcement is treating this case with the utmost urgency due to the potential risks and dangers associated with the exploitation of minors.
