We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) who is able to manage the growing demand for stopping and preventing cyberattacks. The candidate must be skilled in project management and be able to handle multiple high-visibility, high-traffic assignments and cases simultaneously, as well as much of the team’s day-to-day work. TPMs are also responsible for organizing and ensuring that the team’s goals are met to respond in the midst of a security crisis. To be successful, you must be comfortable executing complex tasks and objectives and collaborating with teams to produce results in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Program management of multiple concurrent assignments and projects, providing status reports and comprehensive project summaries to managers and stakeholders, and coordinating client and team resources needed to respond and execute
• Supporting customer and internal needs (both pre- and post-site implementation), clearly communicating objectives and guidelines to stakeholders and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines
• To strengthen the team’s threat detection/response/mitigation capabilities, continuous improvement initiatives should be undertaken across end-to-end pipelines, including:
• Collection of feedback and data collected from each escalation or incident
• Identification of target areas (in processes, tools or methodologies)
• Prioritization of other feature requests
• Expansion requirements
• Deliver based on execution strategies
• Ensure you have a good understanding of the security tools and processes Microsoft uses to thoroughly address customer concerns
• Accountable for the quality of own work; this must be delivered within agreed procedures and timescales, focused on internal and/or external customer needs and managed through ambiguity
• Additional operational support to meet the needs of a growing business, including the development of new offerings, internal business communications rhythm, and field training.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analytics or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other requirements:

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements required for this position. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

  • Candidates must have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role requires candidates to maintain a TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance. This role requires the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. Failure to maintain or obtain an appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
  • Verification of release: This position requires successful verification of the listed security clearance to meet Federal Government client requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position requires you to pass a Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship and Citizenship Verification: This feature requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. This feature specifically supports customers of federal, state, and/or local government entities in the United States and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport or other approved documentation, or verified U.S. government authorization.

Additional or desired qualifications:

  • Demonstrated technical program management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple ongoing assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple organizations, identify and implement solutions
  • Experience in cybersecurity and/or security operations
  • Experience working with network, identity or identity technologies
  • Experience in digital forensic analysis and threat detection
  • Experience with Threat Intelligence and/or Managed Security Services
  • Experience with Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) and/or software development project management

Technical Product Management IC4 – The typical base salary range for this role in the US is USD $117,200 – $229,200 per year. A different range applies to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and the New York City metropolitan area, and the base salary range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 – $250,200 per year.
