Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career-driven, customer-focused Program Manager/Principal Engineer to join our team in support of a major US Government program in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Program managers are responsible for the overall planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development initiatives, and research or technology initiatives that are of significant relevance to the agency’s activities and needs.
  • Programs are typically large, multi-year projects divided into several sub-programs/tasks.
  • Program managers are also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short- and long-term plans.
  • This includes responsibility for formulating, guiding and directing the technical approach and defining and negotiating with activity and agency staff the resource requirements.
  • Establishing and monitoring technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.
  • Works closely with other program leaders, such as the chief engineer/architect, to remove obstacles to technical performance.
  • Provide regular program status and innovative issue resolution for complex contract requirements, program execution, and subcontract management.

Basic requirements:

  • Experience in leading and coaching multiple teams, projects and/or large groups.
  • 10+ years of experience on C4ISR projects with significant contributions in two or more cybersecurity/IA areas: CS/IA Compliance; Software Assurance and Security Engineering; System Security Architecture; System Security Analysis; Threat Analysis; Exploit Analysis; Security Program Management.
  • Experience leading one or more of the following CS/IA areas: CS/IA engineering design to resolve current or potential fleet problems; leading the design and deployment of CA/IA technologies; leading or supporting key DoN and/or DoD CS/IA working groups.
  • Three (3) years of experience is desired in Risk Management Framework (RMF), Navy RMF Process Guide, Information Assurance Technical Authority (IA TA) Standards including Defense-in-Depth Functional Implementation Architecture (DFIA); CYBERSAFE; and Navy Cyber ​​Situational Awareness (NCSA)
  • 6-8 years of experience in cybersecurity workforce development and project management
  • MS degree + Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), and/or Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) {and/or other advanced CS/IA security-relevant certifications}.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
  • Continuously operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copier, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position will be required to occasionally move around the office to access filing cabinets, office machines, etc.

The expected compensation range for this position is $102,700-$170,800. There are several factors that may impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies relevant to the position specified, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education and certifications, as well as federal government contract labor categories. Additionally, ManTech invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
