Swedish House Mafia releases Francis Mercier remix of ‘Lioness’: Listen

Swedish House Mafia have tapped Francis Mercier for a new remix of their latest single, ‘Lioness’, featuring Niki & The Dove. Listen to the edit below.

Released earlier this summer after much anticipation and delays, ‘Lioness’ was originally set to appear on the follow-up LP to the trio’s 2022 studio debut, ‘Paradise Again.’ That sophomore album has also been delayed, while originally set for a 2023 release. However, a recent Instagram post suggests a big announcement is coming later this week.

‘Lioness’ is the first official single release from Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso as a group in 2024. In 2023, they began performing a new track titled ‘Not Yesterday’ in live sets and released singles ‘Ray Of Solar’ – featuring remixes by Tiësto, Anfisa Letyago and Mau P – and ‘See The Light’, featuring Fridayy.

Swedish House Mafia have had a busy summer touring festivals, including their first band performance at Tomorrowland in 12 years. This past weekend, they wrapped up their six-week residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, where they were joined by guests including Overmono, Jaguar, Arielle Free and Salvatore Ganacci.

Meanwhile, Haitian producer Francis Mercier has been just as busy this summer with his Deep Root Tribe imprint and events brand around the world. Check out his On Cue mix and interview with DJ Mag’s Megan Venzin here.

In October, Swedish House Mafia will share the stage with Will Ferrell at a benefit concert for College For Cancer in Chicago.
