ASEAN Secretary-General meets AMMTC Chair for 2024

ASEAN Secretary-General Dr Kao Kim Hourn kicked off a series of meetings in Vientiane, Lao PDR this morning by meeting with HE General Vilay Lakhamphong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Lao PDR and the Chairman of the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) for 2024. Dr Kao congratulated Lao PDR on the successful AMMTC chairmanship and its achievements. He also indicated that the ASEAN Secretariat stands ready to continue working closely with Lao PDR to promote law enforcement cooperation in the fight against transnational crime, particularly in the implementation of practical activities and projects.
