National Solidarity Against Sexual Exploitation of Women – August Activities Update – 전국연대

Title: National Solidarity against Sexual Exploitation of Women – August Activities Update

On August 12, National Solidarity held an activist training session on the topic of “U.S. Laws and Systems for Supporting Survivors of Gender-Based Violence.” In the United States, each state has its own laws and systems for supporting survivors of gender-based violence, and some states have established integrated support systems. The session was attended by a feminist activist who had spoken with experts (government officials, law enforcement, prosecutors, lawyers, etc.) from different states who are involved in supporting survivors of gender-based violence. It provided a valuable opportunity to explore different forms of solidarity.

Looking ahead, September 23 marks the 20th anniversary of the enforcement of the Anti-Prostitution Law in Korea. To commemorate this milestone, National Solidarity is planning a series of events in September, including a 20th anniversary review forum on the law, a forum by the Moongchi survivor network, the Dandelion Pilgrimage, and collective actions to advocate for changes in the law. We invite you to participate in these important events with your interest and solidarity.
