Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur to be re-released in August

Director Anurag Kashyap has announced that his critically acclaimed film Gangs of Wasseypur will be re-released in theatres from August 30 to September 5. The crime comedy, known for its gritty portrayal of the coal mafia in Dhanbad, features stellar performances from Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi and Pankaj Tripathi. Kashyap shared the exciting news on Instagram and revealed that tickets will be available for Rs 149.

Originally released in 2012, Gangs of Wasseypur quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The film’s intense storytelling, memorable dialogues and depiction of stark realities made it an instant cult classic.
