Juicy J’s Legacy is enshrined as one of rap’s legends, and he’s not afraid to brag about it.

In a recent Spring Hill interview with Wiz KhalifaJuicy J reflected on his monumental impact, revealing that he makes money from nearly 90% of new rap songs.

He pointed out that current trends are just repetitions of the old ones, saying: “Everyone is trying Three 6 Mafiaso I’m already there.”

Juicy J also claimed that he gets 5-6 sample clearance requests a day from emerging artists. “On real sh*t,” he told Wiz, “I get paid for pretty much every song. Like 90% of the songs that are out right now.”

He says he sees it as a blessing and encourages younger artists to keep sampling his work. “I love it when people sample,” he said. “I’m just going to keep doing what I’ve always done.”

It’s clear that Juicy J is still a huge influence and he’s happy that Three 6 Mafia’s music is shaping the new rap movement.
