Police ask for public’s help investigating rape allegations in Duchesne County

ROOSEVELT, Utah (KUTV) — Police are asking the public for help in providing information regarding a rape case in Duchesne County.

The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation that found sufficient evidence to charge 35-year-old Robert C. Bird of Roosevelt with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

As officers investigate, officials report that other victims have come forward.

According to officials, the investigation into Bird began on April 26, 2024.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the Bird investigation to contact Detective Misti Duncan of the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office at (435) 738-1523.

No details have been released about the crimes being investigated.
