‘Large consignment’ of illegal cigarettes and vapes seized in Hull

A “large haul” of illegal cigarettes and e-cigarettes has been seized during raids on two properties in Hull.

Trading Standards officers and police officers found counterfeit and illegal tobacco products at stores on Inglemire Lane and Beverley Road on Wednesday.

According to officers, Class B drugs and a large quantity of illegal contraband were also found in a vehicle at the Beverly Road property.

Humberside Police said a ‘test buy’ was being carried out to identify premises that were not complying with licensing legislation or were selling illegal products.
