ASEAN, China meet to discuss issue of transnational crime

The 11th ASEAN Plus China Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime Consultation (11 AMMTC + China) was held in Vientiane, Laos on Thursday. The meeting, which included ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, China and Timor-Leste as observers, focused on discussing emerging transnational crimes and strengthening cooperation in combating them.

During the consultation, attention was paid to transnational crime, in particular cybercrime, such as online gambling, online fraud, telecom fraud and the approach to criminals and fugitives.
