Georgia woman arrested for child sexual exploitation

PATTERSON – A Georgia woman has been arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for Sexual Exploitation of Children following an investigation.

On Friday, August 23, 2024, the Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested and charged Brandy Gill, age 41, of Patterson, Pierce County, GA, with 4 counts of child sexual exploitation and 2 counts of child abuse in Pierce County, Georgia.

The GBI CEACC unit began an investigation into Gill’s online activities after receiving a Cyber ​​Tipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the possible online possession and distribution of child abuse material. This investigation led to a search warrant being executed at Gill’s home and her subsequent arrest. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office assisted the GBI CEACC unit in executing the search warrant.

Gill was booked into the Pierce County Jail.

This investigation is part of the ongoing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, housed within the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit, to identify those involved in trafficking child sexual abuse material. The ICAC program, established by the U.S. Department of Justice, was developed in response to the increasing number of children and teens using the Internet, the proliferation of child sexual abuse material, and the increased online activity of predators seeking unsupervised contact with underage victims.
