Rajasthan: Cops, experts share experiences as state-level police officers' conference begins

Jaipur, Aug 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The two-day conference for state-level police officers, ‘Policing with Excellence – The Way Forward’, began at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) on Thursday. Police personnel and experts shared their experiences on topics related to new penal laws, artificial intelligence tools, ChatGPT, deepfakes, Internet of Things (IoT), digital forensics and prevention of drug trafficking.

Speaking at the conference, Director General of Police Utkal Ranjan Sahu said that police officers should openly share their experiences during the conference sessions so that everyone can benefit from their knowledge and experiences.




He said that in-depth discussions on the topics covered during the technical sessions of the conference will lay the foundation to further improve our policing in the days to come.

Sahu appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee in preparing the format of the event with a combination of topics and a complete schedule for the various sessions of the conference.

During the session chaired by DG Cyber ​​Crime Hemant Priyadarshi on topics related to Artificial Intelligence tools, ChatGPT, Deep Fake and Internet of Things (IoT), presentations were given by the group of IG Cyber ​​Crime Sharat Kaviraj along with IG of Udaipur Range Ajay Pal Lamba and his team.

Guest speaker and expert in the field, Supreme Court advocate Dr Pawan Duggal, said that in the future, no field will remain untouched by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He elaborated on the emergence and impact of AI tools and technology in the context of the laws being made around AI globally, as well as the IT Act and the proposed Digital India Act in the country.

A special session on new penal laws was held under the chairmanship of DG (ACB) Ravi Prakash Meharda.

Guest speaker and subject matter expert Rajiv Soni, Deputy Director of the University Law College, University of Rajasthan, answered questions from the police officers in this context.

This session was moderated by Malini Agarwal, Chairperson of the Conference Organizing Committee and ADG (Training).

Earlier, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, DG (Intelligence), gave a presentation during the special session on the recommendations of the DGP-IG Conference-2023.

On the first day, a presentation on Digital Forensics was given by ADG (Reorganization) Dr. Prashakha Mathur along with Jodhpur IG Vikas Kumar and other officials.

The guest speaker for this session was Venkatesh Murthy, Senior Director, Data Security Council of India.

FSL Director Ajay Sharma attended this session as a special invitee.

Conference Organising Committee Chairman and ADG (Training) Malini Agarwal said that six special sessions will be organised on the second day of the conference on Friday.

This includes presentations by police officers led by ADG (T&T) Bipin Kumar Pandey on the topics of cyber security, dark web, cyber crime investigation and cryptocurrency.

A group of police officers led by ADG Crime Dinesh MN will give a presentation on ‘Emerging Trends in Crime in Rajasthan: Developing a Unified Strategy to Combat Inter and Intra State Gangs’.

Police officers will be presenting their presentation under the guidance of ADG of ATS and SOG VK Singh in the session ‘Dealing with the Challenges of Cheating in Competitive Examinations: Need for a Multi-Dimensional Approach’.

On Friday itself, the fourth session on crime against women, children and other weaker sections will be presented by ADG (Civil Rights) Bhupendra Sahu, on road safety and traffic management by ADG (Traffic) Hawa Singh Ghumaria and on road safety and traffic management by police officers led by Internal Security Inspector Rajesh Meena.
