VALDOSTA – LAMP plans to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a ribbon cutting and community barbecue.

Edition:

LAMP, Inc. is proud to announce a special event in honor of its 40th Anniversary. The milestone will be marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 6, 2024 at 11:30 am, held in partnership with the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce. This event will take place at the LAMP facility, located at 714 Charlton st Valdosta GA 31601.

In addition to the ceremony, attendees will be treated to a community barbecue. The grill and grillmaster for the occasion are generously provided by New Covenant Church, replacing the organization’s regular soup kitchen services for the day.

Following the opening, LAMP will provide tours for community members and visitors interested in learning more about the organization’s mission and current work.

“We are excited to celebrate four decades of service to the Valdosta community,” said Yurshema Flanders, Executive Director. “This event is a testament to the unwavering support of our partners and the community. We invite everyone to join us in commemorating this important milestone.”

LAMP, Inc. is dedicated to helping people escape homelessness. The 40th anniversary celebration is a chance to reflect on the past and look forward to the future.
