UK charts: EA Sports FC 24 remains on top, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe close behind

The weekend is almost here, but last week’s UK charts have only just come in!

The latest data, for the week ending August 24, shows that EA Sports FC 24 remains at the top of the list again, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in second place. We might as well keep them both here for the rest of the year – or at least until FC 25 comes out.

After last week’s surge, Minecraft has dropped back down from third to ninth place, while Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Nintendo Switch Sports have all disappeared from the top ten altogether. Another to make a tumble is Pokémon Scarlet, which after making a huge jump to 21 last week, has now dropped back down to 39. Violet sits comfortably at 36 for the second week in a row.

So, not much to report, really! But then again, there weren’t many big releases last week. It’ll be interesting to watch next week for Emio – The Smiling Man, which we don’t expect to blow our socks off sales-wise, but still.
