Lebanese man sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual exploitation of children

SPRINGFIELD – A Lebanon man was convicted Tuesday in federal court of sexually exploiting children from multiple countries. John Anthony Carpenter, 43, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Brian C. Wimes to 25 years in federal prison without the possibility of parole, according to a news release from the Department of Justice. The court also sentenced Carpenter to 25 years of supervised release after imprisonment and ordered him to pay $15,000 in restitution to his victims. For more on this story, see Saturday’s LCR.
