Kangana Ranaut, who appeared on Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan in 2017 to promote their historical play Rangoonspoke on the show. She called the filmmaker ‘the flag bearer of nepotism’ and ‘film mafia’. In the same Koffee With Karan episode, Kangana expressed her gratitude to Karan for making fun of her and her English, and claimed that his mockery was the motivation behind her success. In a recent interview, Kangana opened up to Ranaut about what happened behind the scenes after that episode with The Lallantop. Karan Johar was ‘flabbergasted’, according to the actor-turned-politician that she responded to him in that way. During the conversation, Kangana burst out laughing when the host brought up an earlier comment of hers, in which she had said that Karan Johar would play the conventional villain in any biopic on her.

Kangana Ranaut stated that in her biopic, Karan would play a stereotypical villain, a member of the film industry who espouses nepotism and is intolerant towards outsiders.Ab toh mere biopic mein bade level pe, bade wale villain hunger. Ye chote, little bad boy nahi. Local nahi! Isko abhi chota villain banayenge! Ab achche, bade bade scoundrel ayenge mere life mein (There will be big, big villains in my life for my biopic.
