GTA 6 release window has one major drawback, fans complain

GTA VI hasn’t shown us much yet, but one thing is already clear: this is going to be a huge game that will take up an awful lot of our time.

You probably already know GTA VI lets us explore the entire fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. Based on leaked gameplay, there’s definitely a lot to do.

That’s great of course, but you have to ask yourself: will we still have time for anything else in 2025? GTA VI launches?

I can’t imagine this is a problem for casual gamers who only play intensively when a new Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto comes out (there’s nothing wrong with that, by the way), but what about hardcore gamers who like to keep up with everything?

On the other side GTA VI Fans of the subreddit are already worried about what looks to be an increasingly busy 2025, and GTA VIplace in it.

One of the biggest concerns seems to be around the 2025 release Mafia: The Old Countrya game for fans of GTA VI will definitely be interested in playing. Unfortunately, if gamers have to choose between the two, it seems obvious which one most will spend their time and money on.

“I hate that Mafia is competing with GTA VI in the same year,” wrote one user. “I really like that story and gameplay. I hope it comes out sooner GTA VI.”

“Mafia: The Old Country And GTA VI releasing in the same year won’t really make a difference as long as the new Mafia releases are earlier GTA VI“, another user reasoned.

“They know the whole universe will play along GTA VI, all attention will be focused on GTA VI, so there is no way they will release it afterwards GTA VI, People are busy playing it and don’t give a damn about another new game. That’s all they take into account.”

It’s worth noting that Take-Two Interactive owns both Mafia and Grand Theft Auto, so it would seem like an odd move to release the new Mafia anywhere near Grand Theft Auto. GTA VIWe can then probably assume that we have plenty of time to finish it. The old country for GTA VI releases.
