Korean suspect in child pornography investigation falls from balcony and dies

He is said to have threatened to upload illegal sexual content involving minors.

A man in his 30s, suspected of child sexual exploitation, fell from the balcony of an 8th-floor apartment building in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

According to reports from Gyeonggi Nambu Province police, the incident occurred late at night, around 11:00 p.m. on August 31.

The man (identified as Mr. A) was found by emergency services in a state of cardiac arrest when they arrived at the scene. Despite being rushed to hospital, he was later pronounced dead.

Mr. A was investigated for allegedly threatening to upload illegal sexual content involving minors on social media platforms. He allegedly posted such content before quickly deleting it.

Police were immediately called to the scene, but Mr A spent approximately 10 minutes on the balcony – at one point attempting to move to the balcony of a neighbouring apartment – ​​before eventually collapsing to his death just before rescue crews could reach him.
