I thank my Great Creator and His angels who have allowed me to reside in South Africa, where it is tranquile, peaceful, and multicultural that works because of our history and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission which uncovered the truth about human rights violations that had occurred during the period of apartheid.

THE BRITISH TOXIC ELITE REQUIRES A COUNTER-ELITE – “POWER TO THE PEOPLE” – STRIKE BACK!

The events of recent weeks have confirmed the fears of many people in Britain that the next five years are going to see a progressive elite, already dominant across all major sectors and institutions of British society, insinuate its views ever more deeply into the national psyche contrary to the wishes of the majority of the population.

There will be a doubling down on identity politics, the state will extend its tentacles even further into people’s lives, the autonomy of our nation state will be undermined, the school curriculum will be turned upside down, and, most worryingly of all, our freedom to express our views about some of these developments will be under assault from an elite that does not value free speech because it’s their enemy and counters their false narratives.

Robert Michels and Vilfredo Pareto argued that whatever form societies took, they would all be led by a minority ruling class and that it was this class that would largely determine the history of that society. Michels called this “the iron law of oligarchy”. Despite their realism about the inevitability of oligarchies, all were keen that ruling elites should respect the liberties of their fellow citizens. The challenge was to find ways of ensuring that the oligarchical rule to which we are all subjected should be as respectful of the general interest as possible.

Back in 2017, David Goodhart’s The Road to Somewhere had already pointed to the risks of the development of a hereditary meritocracy with the 20% of “Anywheres” – “the highly educated and mobile (minority) who… comfortably surf social change” – ensuring that the benefits the graduate ruling class had acquired were passed on to their children.

There are many parts of the country and large sections of the population so poorly represented in government and in leading institutions that the gulf between them and those with power and influence is massive. These are the areas that people were promised in 2019 would be ‘levelled up’, but which have little to show for the past five years and little hope that the next five, under the shadow of the country’s Net Zero 2050 plans, will see anything better.

Pareto’s second theory about keeping an elite vigilant and ensuring that it is responsive to the needs of its citizens and reflective about its own plans and performance is to ensure that, alongside every elite, there is a counter-elite. Duties apply to both parties: on the counter-elite to try to empathise with the position of the ruling elite and to give credit where credit is due, and on the elite to provide space for the counter-elite to express itself.  In other words, to guarantee the freedom of expression without which debate between sets of ideas, between the elite and the counter-elite, is never going to lead to any kind of synthesis.

Even more worrying than the Labour Government’s policy agenda is its assumption that disturbances are likely to be prompted by people’s online posts, that is by words, rather than by grievances and gut feelings that arise from circumstances, and therefore, the solution to the unrest is more regulation of speech.

The good news is that the informal counter-elite in Britain is in a stronger position than it was a few years ago, with the TV channel, GB News, which allows legitimate views to be expressed that would never find their way onto a BBC programme; and with sites like the Daily Sceptic, Spiked, and UnHerd; organisations like The Academy of Ideas and the Free Speech Union; and a growing range of Substack accounts operating without the risk of arbitrary closure.

Even if, in due course, a political party or parties emerge to challenge the radical progressive, technocratic elite head-on, it does seem some way off at present, this nascent counter-elite, in all its diversity, looks set to continue playing the Infinite Game.

Muslim Mobs Roam the Streets with Knives and Machetes Unchecked by Police as the Labour Party Prepares to Crack Down on “Far-Right Thugs”

Riots continued in Liverpool, Hull, Manchester, Belfast and at least seven other cities Saturday, August 3, 2024 as the MSM blamed the indigenous Brits for defending their country and mobs of Muslim men armed with knives and machetes freely roamed the streets unchecked in several British cities.

Police braced for fresh violence after protests that Saturday resulted in at least 90 arrests, several police officers being injured, and looting – The Express Newspaper. More anti-immigration protests were planned in Bolton, Lancaster, Middlesbrough, Weymouth, Plymouth, and Rotherham.  England and Wales police federation Deputy National Chair Tiffany Lynch said the unrest was “flooding across major cities and towns.”  Sources

Over the course of the next six months I believe that the state of the prisons is going to become the most important ‘policy’ issue in British politics. It is the next big crisis in Keir Starmer’s First Term, and enemies of the ‘Evil Beaver’ should begin to examine how the issue can be exploited to bring the whole rotten structure tumbling down.  The system as it is, is already catastrophically bad.

The majority of adult male prisoners in Britain are locked in their cells for up to 23 hours-a-day and have been since the Coronavirus Lockdowns, they are flooded with illegal drugs and are chronically understaffed. Even before the riots began this month, ‘warnings’ were being made by various stakeholders that Britain’s prisoners were on the brink of mass rioting akin to that of the 1990 Strangeways Prison Riots.

It is into this system that Keir Starmer wishes to inject hundreds of flabby 40-year-olds who shared dodgy memes from ‘Britain First’s Facebook’ page.

I recently had dinner with a middle-class English couple who were in Budapest for a visit. Naturally the conversation quickly turned to the riots in their home country. Despite the messiness of Tommy Robinson’s life and record, they support him because he is more or less the only prominent person who is willing to stand up and say what’s really happening in Britain is wrong.

The wife told of a couple who had lost their daughter to a grooming gang. Then she told the story and struggled for words to describe what the Pakistani men had done to their 14-year-old girl. The details of the deeds were too much for her to articulate. She stammered finally saying, “The police had to collect DNA from the child. I hope you understand what I mean.” I did read it in full and it sickened me.

BIG BROTHER WATCH: Civil Liberties Group Raises Alarm on Starmer Using Anti-Stabbing Riots Pretext to Roll Out Facial Recognition Cameras

The UK has seen a series of protests and riots in several towns across England two weeks ago, as authorities brace for what they suspect could be more. These indicents of violence follow the mass stabbing of children at a summer holiday activity club.

A 17-year-old of Rwandan-heritage, Alex Rudakubana was arrested and subsequently charged with murder and attempted murder, and appeared before a judge and will now not be seen again until October at his next court date. Speaking in a speech addressing the riots in Britain, but not so much the deadly attack that sparked them.

Prime Minister, Keir ‘Starsi’  (This was the ‘Ministry for State Security’, commonly known as the ‘Stasi’, an abbreviation of ‘Staatssicherheit’, which was the state security service and secret police of East Germany from 1950 to 1990. Wikipedia) listed his responses to the unrest, including a crackdown with a new ‘Cross-border Police Command’.

Of the tools to be rolled out to stifle dissent, Keir named: “wider deployment of facial recognition technology, and preventative action: criminal behaviour orders to restrict their movement, before they can even board a train”.

Steyn was one of the only ‘mainstream’ media personalities to speak critically about the Covid Vaxx and to interview the vaccine-injured and bereaved when he was a presenter on GB News in 2022. This clearly riled the establishment, who demanded that Ofcom, the British regulator of TV and radio, intervene. Hence, in December 2022, Ofcom ruled that two of Steyn’s programmes were in breach of Ofcom regulations.  Source

One of the Ofcom rulings focused on a programme in which Steyn claimed that UKHSA (U.K. Health Security Agency) data showed triple-vaccinated people were at much greater risk of contracting, being hospitalised and dying from COVID-19 (flu) than unvaccinated people.

THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY FOUGHT AGAINST THE BLOB AND LOST

What happened in Britain during the extraordinary years of 2018-24 wasn’t the philosophical defeat of ‘Toryism’, or even its betrayal. It was a legal and bureaucratic power struggle that the British Right fought and then lost, decisively.

Here was the essential question of the last six years: is opposition politics allowed in Britain? Almost everything turned on this issue; old Left-Right appeals were the exception not the rule. First came the saga over the referendum result and whether it should be honoured, which meant a constitutional crisis over prerogative powers and an extended showdown with the courts. Corbynism, so close to victory in 2017, was crowded out and fell by the wayside, which in my view, was the only reason Boris Johnson won such a large majority in 2019.

What the Hell Was Zelenskyy Thinking?

Previously, Ukraine had not sent large-scale forces across the border into Russia proper. Ukraine sent in as many as six (likely understrength) brigades, supported by tanks and armoured vehicles. That’s not anywhere enough to invade Russia. (Ask Napoleon.) And this was how far? A few miles?  The attack has already bogged down.

How will Ukraine keep its troops and vehicles supplied with fuel, ammunition, food and other materiel? And considering that this is a combat action, what of medical evacuation of the wounded?   It’s difficult to see any military logic to this Ukrainian incursion, other than to grab headlines for a few days with a tactical PR stunt. But even Western media is questioning the point of it all.

There’s speculation that Ukraine intended its forces to seize a Russian nuclear power plant near Kursk; but that’s a long reach, about 75 miles.  What strategic effect?  The Ukrainian attack is of magnitude zero. It changes nothing and looks foolish in the process.  The outcome of this conflict is already decided. Russia has far more military numbers than Ukraine and can raise a much larger army. Russia has more and better military systems: tanks, artillery, and materiel.  Sources

NEWS FLASH – An SA friend of mine, 20 years ago, called Britain a “Shi*tty Little Island.”  He would never have guessed that his observation would become so true in 2024!

A beach in Brighton and Hove, perhaps the most popular seaside escape for Londoners, is closed. According to the Charity Surfers Against Sewage, the southern coast is the worst affected. “Brighton and Hove seem to be deluged over and over again,” says CEO Hugo Tagholm.

Yet near the southwest tip of England, where the region of Cornwall meets the Atlantic, is Longrock Beach. It’s part of the mythical coastline around Penzance, a liminal space where the sky meets the ocean with the off-shore fairytale castle of St. Michael’s Mount.

Longrock is idyllic, safe and family-friendly, with shallow water, and “favoured with Penzance locals,” according to the tourist board.  Last week it was rather less so. Longrock was one of 100 beaches around England which had raw sewage disgorged into the sea during the peak summer period. In Cornwall alone, 14 of 80 bathing beaches were off limits due to sewage.

The problem for water companies is when the volumes in the pipes becomes too much, rather than backing up into homes and streets, it’s pumped out of 15,000 storm overflows around the country, which empty into rivers and the sea. It’s not only affecting beaches. Only 14% of rivers meet “good ecological standards,” according to a 2021 report.

Water companies in Britain were privatised in 1989 by Maggie. There are now nine companies operating in England, seven of which were responsible for “an increase in serious incidents” last year: “Profits come before Safety?” Sources
