During a press conference, Ektaa stressed that the issue of women’s safety extends far beyond the film and entertainment sector. Ektaa shared, “Women and their safety is not just an industry issue. We take this very seriously. Like I said, a lot of women need to lead now so that a lot of other women can join forces. Two women producers coming together, making a film, telling a crime story that is solved by a woman cop is also a step towards creating some kind of safety (sic).”

She further said: “We need to change the agency from men to women and make it equal. We need women at the top in many places. For that, women need to take the initiative. The report is there, we will read more about it. A conscious effort to maintain a safe environment for women in every workplace will be made when women take charge. I think that has to start (sic).”
