Two people accused of human trafficking a Dubuque teenager have pleaded not guilty and are headed to trial. Jarod Anderson and Tana Torres both entered their pleas in court last week. Torres is charged with human trafficking, sexual abuse and prostitution, among other charges. Anderson is charged with human trafficking, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of a minor, pimping and prostitution, among other charges. Torres waived her right to a speedy trial and has a trial scheduled for November 12. Anderson is seeking a speedy trial with his currently scheduled for the same day. The arrests came in July, after police said it was part of an ongoing investigation into a minor girl who was reported missing in Dubuque, but was found in Cedar Rapids. The Quality Inn Hotel on the northeast side of Cedar Rapids was where a Dubuque teen said she was taken by a man and a woman in May. She said she was given drugs, including meth, and sold for sex.
