‘I don’t care about your age’ – DNyuz

An Arizona high school principal has been arrested after allegedly trying to get a 12-year-old girl to get “cozy” in bed, take nude photos and perform sex acts. Authorities say he told her, “I don’t care about your age.”

Joseph Kinney, the 42-year-old principal of Buckeye Union High School in the city of Buckeye, used an anonymous social media app called “Whisper” to talk to someone he assumed was a preteen — but was actually an undercover police officer, according to court documents obtained by Fox 10 Phoenix.

Investigators targeted Kinney in July when he responded to a message from the officer that read, “bored lol what do I do,” the station reported.

Kinney — who used the name “Macabre Pure” — suggested that she “get cozy in her bed” and undress.

The officer, still posing as a young girl, told him she was only 12. She found the request strange.

“I don’t care about your age,” Kinney replied eerily, according to court documents.

Later conversations became even more sexual: the director allegedly asked the girl to send nude photos, the documents show.

He also said he would like to “rescue” her from her grandmother’s home in Oregon — where the agent claimed they were staying — so he could perform various sex acts on her, the Arizona Republic reported.

Federal authorities obtained his IP address and subsequently raided his Goodyear, Arizona, home on Sept. 3. He was arrested during a traffic stop that same day and suspended, The Republic reported, citing the perverted executive pictured grimacing in a floral shirt.

Kinney later admitted to police that he had spoken to “multiple women on Whisper who claimed to be underage,” according to the documents shared with Fox 10.

“(Kinney) stated that he never really believed they were minors and that he assumed they were all adults and were just having imaginative conversations and role-playing,” investigators wrote.

“(Kinney) remembered a woman telling him she was nine years old, but her picture didn’t look like a nine-year-old child, so he assumed she was an adult.”

The director later said he felt “stupid and ashamed of his decisions” and maintained he “would never engage in sexual acts with a child,” according to court documents.

Kinney has been charged with luring a minor for sexual exploitation and is being held on $60,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12.

If he is released at any point, he will be required to wear an electronic monitor and will be banned from talking to minors or using the Internet.

“This is yet another stark reminder of how important it is for parents to know what websites their children are visiting,” former FBI agent James Egelston told AZ Family about the case.

“Unfortunately, there are many cases where people who are interested in children try to work themselves into a position through their professional job or sideline where they have access to children,” he continued.

“People should also be aware of that.”
