Arkansas State Police Arrest Conway Man Accused of Rape

CONWAY, Arkansas – A Conway man accused of rape was arrested Wednesday night by Arkansas State Police after a foot chase.

According to ASP officials, Conway police requested assistance from state troopers during the pursuit of the suspect, 38-year-old Dan Joyce, around 8:47 p.m.

According to special agents, Joyce’s vehicle was traveling at 120 mph (193 kilometers per hour) eastbound on Interstate 40 before making an exit and continuing westbound.

ASP officials reported that authorities conducted a tactical vehicle intervention just west of the exit ramp.

Joyce was subsequently arrested and taken to the Faulkner County Detention Center, where he faces charges of rape and escape.
