Man accused of producing child abuse material

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — According to the Public Prosecution Service, a man has been arrested on suspicion of child sexual abuse.

Casey Price, 26, of West Columbia, is charged with four counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Each offense carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years.

Detectives with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force made the arrest.

According to authorities, investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led to Price.

According to authorities, Price is accused of producing files containing child sexual abuse material.

He was arrested on September 3, 2024.

The Public Prosecution Service will prosecute the case.
