Upstate man faces 8 child sex charges

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – An Upstate man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of child sexual abuse.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that Jeremy Adam Belisle, 41, of Wellford, has been arrested on eight charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators said Belisle allegedly distributed and possessed files containing child abuse material.

Belisle was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree and four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree.

Officials said the crime is punishable by up to 10 years in prison for each charge

The case will be prosecuted by the Public Prosecution Service.
