West Columbia man accused of sexual exploitation of minors

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office reports that a West Columbia man is in custody after officials say they received a tip that led to the discovery of child abuse material. Authorities say 26-year-old Casey Price is facing four charges related to the sexual exploration of minors.

Investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force say they received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They say that information sparked the ICAC investigation, which alleges Price produced files containing child sexual abuse material.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department took Price into custody on September 3, 2024, and he now faces four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. If convicted, Price could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.
