Actress Honey Rose has spoken out for the first time on the allegations of sexual exploitation coming out of the Malayalam film industry, saying that anyone found guilty of such offences should be punished under the law.

Following the publication of the Hema Commission report, several accusations were made against prominent figures in the industry. Honey Rose spoke to the media about this when she returned from a private event.

Punishment for the guilty

Honey Rose made her stand clear, stating that those responsible for sexual misconduct in the film industry should face the consequences prescribed by law. “Those who have committed sexual exploitation in Malayalam cinema should be punished. They should be given the punishment prescribed by law,” she said, stressing the importance of the legal process.

However, the actress clarified that she was not aware of any such incidents taking place on the sets of the films. “I don’t know anyone who has been exploited on the sets where I have acted,” she added, stressing that she was not aware of any such happenings in her work environment.
