What you will do:

As a CACI-SOAS SIGINT/Linguist (Mandarin) (Multi-Discipline Language Analyst – MDLA), you will be a key member of a threat analysis and strategic planning team supporting Task Force 40-25 and providing direct support to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Theater Special Operations Commands, and other strategic partners in the Special Operations Forces Emerging Threat, Operations and Planning Support (SOFETOPS) enterprise. You will provide direct intelligence support for targeting, planning, and policy development for complex projects. You will be responsible for deploying and integrating advanced intelligence analysis tools and technology across multiple disciplines and providing operational insight to senior military and U.S. government leaders. You will incorporate metadata and Publicly Available Information (PAI) into intelligence products. You will support SIGINT and CYBER analysis and target development and perform reporting and assessments in support of readiness, operational planning, operations, and innovation initiatives. By supporting SIGINT and CYBER analysis, you will contribute to the development of new solutions, processes, and standards while communicating with parties outside your organization, the interagency, and the community of interest (COI). You will be responsible for delivering accurate, relevant, and timely translations, goal development, and assessments, and you will coordinate and integrate all relevant input and data from analysts supporting the project. You will be responsible for providing mentoring, coaching, and training to less experienced employees within the Modernization Analyses, Assessment, and Planning Functional Group (MAAP) (I3C) and across the SOFETOPS enterprise within the technical expertise area of ​​multidisciplinary language analysis.

More about this role:

  • Signal intelligence (SIGINT) support, human intelligence (HUMINT) support, new technology processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED) and open source intelligence (OSINT) collection aimed at identifying, targeting and exploiting emerging threats.
  • Provides linguistic analysis of signal intelligence, cyber, and commercially available information (CAI) (e.g., commercial telemetry data (CTD)), including the performance of analytical functions, the execution of analytical services, and the provision of expertise to assist the government in day-to-day workforce support functions.
  • Provides specialized linguistic analysis to support the execution of multidisciplinary intelligence fusion activities and in support of the SOFETOPS mission.
  • Performs tool-based data management and supports integration across the enterprise.
  • Continuously analyzes the requirements of theater-specific activities.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with DoD and other agency partners to provide flexible, real-time solutions to emerging threats.
  • Manages and supports the development of a threat response database.
  • Identifies trends in threat development to anticipate future opportunities and reduce government costs

You bring the following qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Prepared to take a CI Poly
  • Language test results equivalent to Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency level 3/3 in listening and/or reading within the past two years.
  • At least two years of experience in creating summaries, keywords and full translations in various text formats of Chinese Mandarin, including technical, general, informal, online and slang terminology.
  • Two or more years of experience conducting open source research in the target language.
  • Ability to conduct independent and collaborative research on assigned topics or target areas

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Experience supporting USASOC or Joint SOF organizations.
  • Current CI Poly
  • Experience as 35P, 1N3X1, 1A8X1, CTI, 267X or equivalent is a plus
  • Language proficiency in an additional language: Chinese/Russian
  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience, or associate degree and seven years of experience, or nine years of relevant work experience. We will also consider candidates with five years of directly relevant experience.
  • Experience with NSA/CSS in identifying targets, analyzing intelligence, and/or organizing global intelligence operations.
  • 7 years of experience in intelligence analysis and organizing global intelligence operations.
  • Minimum three years of experience in responsible coordination roles within a tactical, operational, or strategic command at the O-5 level or higher, or while supporting a DoD contract of comparable size and scope.
  • Experience with SIGINT or CYBER analysis and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of databases and collection systems used in the development of intelligence products
  • Must be able to work independently with limited government supervision and function effectively as part of a team in a collaborative work environment.
  • Expert-level knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real-time or near-real-time knowledge management systems.
  • Efficient in tools such as Grapevine, SLATE and BLUESTEEL

The suggested salary range for this position is:
