Leading columnist Irfan Siddique of Daily Yang has revealed how Natasha Danish’s husband, Danish Iqbal, and his mother managed to get forgiveness from the family of the Karsaz accident victims.

According to Siddique’s column on Sunday, the family of the deceased, Imran Arif, was initially unwilling to forgive Natasha Danish. However, a major turnaround took place when Danish Iqbal and his mother made a sincere appeal to Imran Arif’s widow.

Siddique reports that Danish Iqbal and his mother visited the widow at night. Danish Iqbal fell at her feet, weeping and begging for forgiveness. His mother also laid her chador before her as a gesture of deep remorse.

“They said that since the accident happened, no one in their house has been able to sleep for a moment. They all consider themselves guilty and admit Natasha’s mistake, but ask for forgiveness,” the column said.

“During their visit, Danish Iqbal revealed that their family had been tormented by a blackmail mafia since the accident. He explained that the mafia was demanding one billion rupees to settle with the victims’ families. He added that some members of the mafia were also asking for a factory to be named after them,” the column continued.

Danish Iqbal begged the victims’ families to give them as much money as they wanted, but to help them escape from the blackmailers.

On this occasion, Imran Arif’s widow and his brother revealed that they were also approached and pressured by the same mafia for a settlement, with threats of further harm to their family. They took an oath, stating that they did not want a single rupee for the death of their family members. They only wanted justice, and though they might forgive Natasha in this world due to poverty and pressure from powerful people, they would not forgive her in the hereafter.

The columnist notes that under these circumstances, the victims’ families have forgiven the suspect without asking for anything in return.
