El-Sisi confirms deep ties between Egypt and Saudi Arabia

CAIRO, September 8, 2024 (WAM) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has reaffirmed the deep brotherly and historic relations that Egypt and Saudi Arabia and their people share.

This came while the Egyptian President was meeting with HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Minister of State and Member of the Saudi Cabinet for Saudi Shura Council Affairs, Dr. Essam bin Saeed.

Egyptian presidency spokesman Ambassador Ahmad Fahmy said El-Sisi stressed the crucial role of the two countries as a cornerstone for stability in the region, especially in light of the growing challenges that require their continued and intensive cooperation.

The meeting stressed the crucial importance of joint cooperation and intensive coordination between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, given the shared security challenges and threats arising from current developments in the region, particularly in the fight against terrorist and extremist organizations, transnational organized crime and the rise in cybercrime.
