Bills 34, Cardinals 28 | Final Score, Stats to Know + Game Highlights

2. Quick start

After Codrington gave the Bills great field position on the Bills’ opening drive, Allen fumbled and the Cardinals turned the ball over for a field goal by K Matt Prater.

Allen made up for the early fumble by getting the Bills into the red zone on both of their plays and scoring both times.

On their first scoring drive, Cook got off to an early start and had six carries, including a 15-yard dash. Allen found TE Dawson Knox for 23 yards for his only completion of the drive. In the red zone, Allen ran for a rushing touchdown, but it was called back on a face mask penalty and the Bills settled for a K Tyler Bass field goal.

After Arizona capitalized on their ensuing drive with just 2:44 left in the half, Allen led the offense on a two-minute drill. Even with the multiple false start penalties, Allen found the end zone on a seven-yard rushing touchdown. In the process, WR Khalil Shakir bounced off a defender and took Allen’s pass 19 yards, and Coleman also caught his first career catch for 12 yards.

After receiving the second-half kickoff that was just outside the touchdown zone, placing the ball on the 40-yard line, the offense went right back to work. Allen found his running backs this time, completing a 25-yard pass to Cook and Davis for another 14-yard run. Allen finished the drive by throwing a dart to Hollins, tying the score at 17-all.
