Suspected members of the construction mafia back in court

DURBAN – Five alleged members of the construction mafia have appeared again in the KwaZulu-Natal court in Camperdown to file a bail application.

Their case was postponed last week due to a power outage at the courthouse.

They were arrested last month for allegedly disrupting the construction of a bridge in uMsunduzi.

Extortionists are disrupting projects in KwaZulu-Natal, demanding either a share in the projects or protection costs.
