Judge denies bail for Chesnee man accused of possessing child abuse material

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office reports that a man involved in the exploitation of a minor has been denied bail.

Officials said Daniel Branum of Chesnee distributed and possessed child sexual abuse material in April.

The attorney general’s office said Branum was charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree. Officials added that Branum was convicted of similar charges in 2010.

On September 9, Branum was denied bail.
