Netflix hit: Peaky Blinders finally continues – something “epic” is about to happen

To the delight of many fans around the world, a sequel to the huge Netflix hit Peaky Blinders is coming soon. The popular and successful series will definitely not be getting any more episodes. However, the streaming service has already given the green light for a feature film for a while. This is taking on more and more concrete forms, with one of the biggest fan favorites being brought on board for the project. The latest news will probably also cause a wave of euphoria.

When is the Peaky Blinders movie coming to Netflix?

The Peaky Blinders series premiered eleven years ago, at the time on the British broadcaster BBC. The story revolves around the Shelby family, who form the core of a gang of gangsters called the “Peaky Blinders” in Birmingham in the 1930s. However, the head of the family, Thomas Shelby, played by Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, wants to turn away from criminal activities and become a successful businessman instead.

Peaky Blinders: Gangs of Birmingham managed to build a huge fan base all over the world and achieved great viewing figures. However, after the sixth season, it was over, much to the dismay of the community. In the meantime, preparations are in full swing for a standalone film, for which unfortunately no release date has been set yet. Not only will Cillian Murphy return as Thomas Shelby, but one of the scariest Joker actors will also make an appearance. In all likelihood, fans can expect something “epic”.

Netflix brings out the big guns

Actor Barry Keoghan (Marvel’s Eternals) recently spoke about several things during an interview with IndieWire magazine. One of them was the planned Peaky Blinders Netflix movie. His comments about what appears to be a very ambitious project are sure to pique the interest of some fans.

“I wouldn’t be on board if I hadn’t read the script. But yeah, I’ve read the script and I think it’s great. I’ve spoken to Cillian about it already and it’s going to be epic.”

Unfortunately, Keoghan didn’t reveal exactly what he meant by that. It’s still not known what role the actor will play in the Netflix film Peaky Blinders . But from all indications so far, the streaming service has a lot planned for this project and isn’t taking it lightly.
