About the role

ARK Group’s HR department provides support services across all projects and offices. A partnership approach facilitates and enhances HR related matters, benefiting employees, management, consultants, projects and partners. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will join a small HR department and be responsible for and oversee the full recruitment cycle. A broad scope means the role covers both strategic and operational matters, working closely with partners in both Operations and other Support Services functions to ensure the delivery of high quality talent acquisition services.

What you are going to do

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from searching and interviewing to making offers.
  • Develop long-term recruitment strategies and build trusting relationships with potential employees, creating strong talent pipelines for the company’s current and future staffing needs.
  • Recruit for positions from entry-level to senior executive, utilizing a variety of sourcing channels and techniques.
  • Support the country HR department with guidance on local recruitment activities.
  • Schedule job interviews and selection processes, including screening interviews, assessments, and personal interviews.
  • Optimize ARK’s Applicant Tracking System, drive engagement across the company, and increase visibility into its capabilities.
  • Work with hiring managers to define roles, refine job descriptions, and ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Collect and use market data to determine salary ranges for positions, particularly in locations where ARK has not previously operated.
  • Lead employer branding initiatives and work closely with the Head of Communications to regularly post promotional messages on ARK’s LinkedIn account.
  • Work closely with the Head of Corporate Services, ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and donor requirements and deal transparently with control matters.
  • Provide a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the entire application process.
  • Use recruiting metrics to measure performance and optimize recruiting strategies.
  • Continuously improve your recruitment processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace through recruitment initiatives.

Requirements

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience in managing an internal talent acquisition service.
  • Practical experience in full recruitment and selection using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a busy, ever-changing workload.
  • Knowledge of social media, resume databases and professional networks.
  • Experience in proactively recruiting candidates with LinkedIn Talent Solutions.
  • Experience working in an international development/humanitarian organization or other highly regulated international environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to connect with potential candidates
  • Proficient in MS Office, with experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS (MS Dynamics is a plus).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of Salary & Remuneration/job evaluation is required.
