What Happened in Season 1 of ‘Tulsa King’?

In Season 1 of Tulsa King, viewers were introduced to Dwight Manfredi, a mafioso with big plans for Tulsa.

Season 1 of “Tulsa King” begins with Dwight Manfredi’s release from prison after 25 years. He’s a loyal soldier for the Invernizzi family of New York, but during his time in prison, the family has essentially abandoned him. With no prospects in New York for their loyal capo, the bosses decide to send Dwight to Tulsa.

Dwight initially doesn’t know what to do in Oklahoma, but when he learns that recreational marijuana is legal there, he devises a plan to bring the local dispensary owner under his “protection.” He hires a man named Tyson as his personal driver and soon begins assembling a local crew, including Armand, who first attempts to kill Dwight because he believes the capo has been sent to kill him for breaking an old promise to the Invernizzi family.

As the season progresses, Dwight catches the attention of Stacy Beale, an ATF agent he previously dated. The two rekindle their old romance and Dwight flies to New York for some family business, reconciling with his estranged daughter Tina.

Upon his return to Tulsa, Dwight discovers that a local biker gang is trying to take over his territory. He now has a capable crew, but he still has to be careful with the law. Dwight’s life takes a turn in the Season 1 finale, when just when he thinks he has the competition under control and new sources of legitimate income, Stacy arrests him for bribery. She uses a flash drive he gave her with access to a $1 million bank account as evidence.

In Season 2 of “Tulsa King,” Dwight tries to put his latest arrest behind him, get his casino up and running, and keep his pot shop afloat. But his crew soon realizes that their small empire is attracting the attention of powerful rivals, including the Kansas City mob and powerful businessmen who live a little closer to home.

Dwight will have to keep all of these issues under control if he wants to survive, stay in business, and not go back to prison. That’s a lot for one person to handle, but he still has some personal matters to attend to in the Big Apple.

Who are the main characters of ‘Tulsa King’ season 2?

Dwight is up to old and new tricks in Season 2 of Tulsa King.
  • Dwight “The General” Manfredi: Played by Sylvester Stallone. Capo of the Invernizzi family who is essentially exiled to Tulsa after 25 years in prison. Dwight is always diligent and has plenty of ideas on how to make his new position pay off.

  • Stacy Beale: Played by Andrea Savage. An ATF agent who has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Dwight, but is dedicated to her job and won’t hesitate to take him down if he steps out of line.

  • Lawrence “Bodhi” Geigerman: Played by Martin Starr. Owner of the local marijuana dispensary and a key part of Dwight’s new Tulsa crew, Bodhi helps Dwight keep the whole operation afloat with the profits from his legal weed operation.

  • Tyson Mitchell: Played by Jay Will. Dwight’s personal driver and one of the first members of his new empire. Tyson’s role in Dwight’s crew has angered his father and strained relations between the two, as Tyson tries to choose between his family and his new lifestyle.

  • Armand “Manny” Truisi: Played by Max Casella. Another of Dwight’s soldiers, a Tulsa local who worked on a horse ranch and once broke an oath to the Invernizzi family, wrongly assuming that Dwight would try to kill him because of it.

  • Don Charles “Chickie” Invernizze: Played by Domenick Lombardozzi. An underboss of the Invernizzi crime family, Chickie’s decision to kill his father in Season 1 elevates him to the top seat. He has unfinished business with Dwight and is unlikely to let him continue his Tulsa business in peace.

  • Kal Thresher: Played by Neal McDonough. An extremely territorial businessman who has built up a large power base in Tulsa and has no intention of sharing it with Dwight or anyone else.

Does ‘Tulsa King’ have a connection to other Taylor Sheridan shows?

Although Tulsa King was created by Taylor Sheridan, there is no connection to any other Sheridan shows.

No, “Tulsa King” is a standalone series that is not connected to any other Taylor Sheridan series. Sheridan has a history of creating titles set in the same universe, as he did with “Yellowstone” prequels “1883” and “1923,” as well as upcoming projects like “6666” and “The Madison,” all of which are part of the broader “Yellowstone” canon.

Where can you stream ‘Tusla King’ and other Taylor Sheridan titles?

Paramount+ is home to many other Taylor Sheridan titles, but Peacock is the only place you can stream Yellowstone.

Paramount+ is the best place to stream titles Sheridan has worked on, including “Tulsa King,” “1883,” “1923,” “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” “Mayor of Kingstown,” “Special Ops: Lioness” and the film “Finestkind.”

The show that some might argue is Sheridan’s flagship series, “Yellowstone,” however, is not on Paramount+. A licensing agreement between Paramount and NBCUniversal that dates back to before Paramount had its own established on-demand streamer means that “Yellowstone” is available to stream exclusively on Peacock.
