Mother lets sex offender rape her 10-year-old daughter for $20: Cops – Crime Online

A Nevada sex offender was arrested last week for paying a Utah woman to sexually abuse her 10-year-old daughter.

KTVX reported that the victim’s 38-year-old mother has also been charged in connection with the case. The mother allegedly filmed the victim and sent sexually explicit videos to Chris Seamann via Kik, a messaging app, in exchange for money.

The mother reportedly told police that she and her daughter met Seamann multiple times over the course of five to six years. She admitted that Seamann last abused her daughter in Springville on Sept. 3, KTVX reported.

Seamann — a registered sex offender — was convicted of first-degree forcible sexual assault in 1993. He allegedly paid the victim’s mother $20 “per session,” along with a laptop computer, and $125 for the most recent attack.

Provo police began their investigation after receiving a cyber tip. KSL reported that the videos showed the woman sexually abusing her daughter.

“(She) said he forces her to do it and threatens her by saying something along the lines of ‘he’ll do what he has to do.’ (The woman) stated he never made any explicit threats. (She) told me she has been taking pictures and videos of the victim for (Seamann) for years,” an affidavit states. “(The woman) said she wanted positive attention from someone who wasn’t bullying.”

Seamann was arrested on September 6 in Mesquite, Nevada, and charged with sodomy of a child, rape of a child, sexual abuse of a child and lewdness with a child.

The mother, whose identity has not been publicly released to protect the victim’s anonymity, was charged with first-degree human trafficking of a child, aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, sodomy of a child and aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

Seamann is awaiting extradition to Utah, where he will face charges.
